Look beyond the headline

Compare the terms.
Not just the bonus.

A useful comparison starts with what you must spend, what you receive and what could stop you withdrawing it.

Launch status: no live bookmaker listings

We have not yet added bookmaker offers or paid referral links. This page gives you a practical checklist to assess an offer yourself. Illustrations below are fictional and are not recommendations.

The seven-point checklist

CheckWhat you need to know
1. OperatorVerify the operator and website on the Gambling Commission’s public register. A licence is not a guarantee against losing money.
2. EligibilityAge, location, new-customer rules, household restrictions and eligible payment methods.
3. Qualifying spendThe required deposit and cash stake, minimum odds and markets that count.
4. Reward typeCash, free bets or another bonus? Is the promotional stake returned with winnings?
5. WageringThe multiplier, the amount it applies to and any contribution or stake limits.
6. DeadlinesWhen you must opt in, qualify, use the reward and meet its conditions.
7. WithdrawalsIdentity checks, processing times and restrictions on bonus-related withdrawals.

A comparison in practice

These two invented examples show why a headline alone cannot tell you which offer involves less spending or fewer restrictions.

Illustrative conditionExample AExample B
Qualifying cash stake£10£20
Promotional reward£10 free bet£20 free bet
Minimum qualifying odds2.003.00
Time to use reward7 days3 days
Free-bet stake returned?NoNo

Example B advertises a larger reward but requires a larger cash stake and gives less time to use it. Neither example guarantees a profit. Other terms would need to be considered before making any decision.

How future listings will be assessed

  1. Check the source. Use the operator’s offer page and full terms, with a visible date of review.
  2. Show the restrictions. Place important conditions alongside the headline, with a link to the full terms.
  3. Explain the selection. State the comparison criteria and the limits of our market coverage.
  4. Disclose commercial relationships. Mark affiliate links and paid placements clearly. Payment will not be presented as evidence of product quality.
  5. Review changes. Correct or remove a listing when we find that its terms have changed or it is no longer available.

There is no need to rush

A deadline is part of the offer’s conditions, not a reason to spend more than you intended. If an offer is confusing, unaffordable or creates pressure, leave it.
